Loz Goddard was born in Manchester and started on his musical endeavors when he was introduced to a dusty old Pearl drum kit at the age of 9. It was after playing the drums for a few years that he realized he had a feel for rhythm and a good ear for music. Loz started off playing the drums in various Metal bands but fell into the world of synths, controllers and sequencers in 2012 after taking a liking to Sheffield’s Warp Records and the stuff they were putting out. He’s dabbled with ambient styles in the past but from his productions these days, you can expect warm, smooth house music with touches of funk, disco and jazz. Loz has released previously on Dirt Crew, Outplay, Razor N Tape, Secret Reels & Quintessentials and is now focusing on using lots more live instruments in his future productions to reach out to a wider audience. His productions have earned him a few No.1 spots on Juno Records Deep House & Disco charts and take influence from the House, Disco & Funk of the past. You can also catch Loz & guests on the last Monday of every month for his Downtown Groove Sessions on Manchester-based radio station MCR Live at 9 – 11pm.
