Luba Bilash is a 5th generation Ukrainian Canadian singer and songwriter. She has performed throughout Canada, the USA and Europe, her vast repertoire ranging from traditional folk ballads to contemporary pop tunes. Her solo recordings include three albums of Ukrainian children's songs entitled "A Garland of Children's Songs", which are utilized in Ukrainian language programs throughout the world, including Ukraine; and an album entitled "Luba Bilash", featuring original compositions of Ukrainian Canadian writers. In 1989 Luba performed at the first all-Ukrainian pop and rock festival "Chervona Ruta" in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, where she was named "People's Favorite Performer" at a special concert of artists from the Ukrainian diaspora. In the summer of 1991 she captured audiences of Ukraine with her solo concert tour and was again a featured performer at the second "Chervona Ruta" festival in Zaporizhzhia. Ukraine.
