A.k.a. María de la Luz Tena Álvarez
María de la Luz Tena Álvarez was born in Durango, Mexico in 1938. As a former member of the company of Carmen Amaya this exceptional "bailaora" moved to Spain in 1958. Particularly famous for her peerless castanets playing she formed her own Flamenco group "Lucero Tena Y Su Ballet".
