Album US 2008 on Strawberry Hill Records label
Classical (Experimental)
Recorded live on 04 03 03 at Mils College, Oakland, California. Tryptique Pour Gérard for 4+1 Ramón Sender donkey gruntlers. Ramón Sender Barayón produced a series of double-reed instruments called "donkey gruntlers", which he distributed to friends. Mr. Sender designed the instruments primarily as sessions of breathing-based meditations. These instruments appear at first to be limited in expressive qualities, and possess a funny (albeit also slightly unsettling) voice. Will the composer succeed in extracting the Tragic from these squeaky instruments? Release date (2008) not indicated on sleeve.
