Luckey Remington was born in Eugene Oregon, the son of a lumberjack and the daughter of the Gold Beach. He shared an alma mater with author Ken Kesey, this coincidence seemed to shape his education and his thirst for all things queer. In the spring of 2000 Luckey moved to Nevada City/San Francisco California it was here that he met and began playing music with various artists including Tahiti Pehrson, Devendra Banhart, Pete Newsom, Andy Cabic and future “The Pleased” bandmates Noah Georgeson and Joanna Newsom. Luckey performed and wrote with The Pleased until 2004 and recorded one full length album “Don’t Make Things” Luckey has toured and recorded with Devendra Banhart since 2005, and was involved in the recording and production of Cripple Crow (XL) Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon (XL) What We Will Be (Warner Bros.) Luckey has had his artwork displayed at the Eleanor Harwood Gallery in San Francisco and the Space 15Twenty Gallery in Los Angeles. He currently lives in Paris, France where he regularly performs his one-man mime show.
