Recorded in London on 27 and 28 May 1947 by Artur Schnabel and the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Alceo Galliera on master numbers 2EA12031 to 12040 inclusive. First issue in December 1948 on record numbers DB6692 to 6696 inclusive. Transferred to LP in Paris in 1956 on master numbers 2XEA10076 and 10077. First issue of this transfer in March, 1957 on record number COLH5 in the Gravures Illustres series in France. Issued in England in April 1957. Stiff cardboard cloth-bound sleeve (dark blue) with gold identification label (black text) spanning the top left-hand corner of the front, the spine and the top right-hand corner of the back. 12-page booklet containing recording details, programme notes and an Artur Schnabel biography. Booklet printed in England.
