Luis Ernesto Deschamps was born on January 11, 1973 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic ~ † July 11, 1999 Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He was the Latin House Merengue vocalist and the MC Papo part of the duo group Sandy & Papo. After moving to New York in 1991 his influences of old school electro break dance, latin salsa and hip hop grew even larger. In 1995 the formation of Sandy & Papo hit the Latin music community by storm and became an instant success. After only three world known and successfully released albums on Platano Records record label Parcha Records. The young life of Luis Ernesto Deschamps was cut short on July 11, 1999. He was traveling with three friends in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on the Autopista De Las Américas highway when his automobile lost control and hit a large tree off the side of the road. He was only 26 years young.
