Band from Adelaide, South Australia. Formed in 2001 while lead singer/ songwriter was recording his debut EP. The group completed the EP, 'Seven Sundays', in 2002 as The Luke Ashby Band, before a name change to 'Luke Ashby & The Lonely Crowd' in 2003 in time for a 2nd EP, following a change of lead guitarist. Luke also released a radio only demo EP, 'The Butcher's Paper Sessions', featuring appearances from other band members and Adelaide music scene friends, in 2003.
