Fresh out of Melbourne, Drum Ride Recordings has a simple philosophy – try to make some worthwhile music… and sell it to people. The label is the brainchild of Melbourne producer Luke Bowditch, and shares its name with the radio show that he hosts along with DJ Frisky every Saturday on Melbourne’s Kiss FM. Focussing on electronic house, and dancefloor driven, this label features content from some of the city’s best upfront producers… For its maiden voyage Drum Ride presents a three track EP by Luke Bowditch. The ‘A’ side – “Dreamlover” is soundtrack breakbeat featuring moody chords and soulful piano. The ‘B’ side offers two phat house cuts – “Nasty!” and “Bubble Jet”, complete with rolling basslines and string stabs.
