Jami Lula was the leader of the band "Lula" for 10 years, releasing 2 records, "Waiting" and "Live Groove" on Circle Up Records. Praise around the bands success was highlighted by the LA Music Awards nominating Jami as Best Vocalist of the year in 1996&97; he accepted the award in 1997. Rave reviews around Lula's live performances have come from the LA Times, The Album Network & Whole Life Times. Jami's vocal performance has been coined as "gospel-like vocals and Southern evangelist-styled mannerism that makes him a compelling and powerful presence on stage"; his lyrics truly contain a grain of optimism and inner-strength that have carried many people through the hardest of times.
