Also known as Jamene Miller, she was born in Kansas City, Mo., and grew up as an only child in South Florida. She was an American rock vocalist particularly active in the late 1960s/early 1970s joining the band Fantasy at 16yo. Her powerful voice was compared to those of Janis Joplin and Grace Slick. She died Sept. 27, 2008 at her home in Miramar.
