A.k.a. Mario Rua
Mario is drummer and professional chef de cuisine. He studied jazz and improvised music on IACP in Paris, with Lionel Belmondo, Stefane Belmondo, Jerôme Destours and Philippe Soirat . He attended the Conservatory Jazz Sarceles under the direction of Eric Breton. Mario plays on various formations in the undergound of Paris. Began to develop his music language by Free Jazz with Cyril Decrause. Back to Lisbon in 2004, with a new project with the kitchen and the music, in the company of Pedro Castanheira, has worked in draft “Sete Sentidos”. With Benoit Crauste has several projects in Lisbon, as SpaceBop Quartet, and a draft free jazz where explores the sounds of the sea. In 2014 has touched and recorded a live album with George Haslam, produced by Slam Records and Diogo Teixeira Lopes.
