Born: July 19, 1879, Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary Died: February 8, 1934, Szeged, Hungary He was a Hungarian novelist, journalist and museologist. He was born into a poor family. He carried out his studies in difficult conditions, due to their financial circumstances. He graduated geography at the Budapest University, but he had been teaching for one year only. He was the editor in chief of Szegedi Napló from 1913 to 1919. His career as a museologist started at the Somogyi-Library in 1904. His literary career started by writing poems. In his stories and novels he illustrated the hard life of the poor people. He played an important role in the children's literature in Hungary.
