Producer of Dance
A.k.a. Moses Olivier Kronic
Moses “M3-O” Olivier is a UK/Happy Hardcore DJ, producer and label owner based in the UK. Moses discovered Happy Hardcore back in the mid-90s and was instantly hooked. From that point on everything in his life revolved around listening to happy hardcore and all forms of “Rave” music. Coming from a musically accomplished family and surrounded by musically active adults since birth, he was always interested in more than just listening. Immediately after discovering Happy Hardcore he was interested in how the music was created and performed; even though he didn’t have a clue about either at that time, this didn’t stop him from choosing a Dj name and dreaming of the day he would be able to share his passion. Eventually in 1999 his dad gave him an old 80s “stack” hi-fi system, a pair of KAM belt drive decks and a two channel KAM mixer. With that he was away making weekly visits to Rhythm Nation, the only record shop in his hometown of Doncaster that sold the kind of music he was interested in By 2004 Moses, who went by the name of Dj “Kronic” at that time, had played his first set at a local event called Generate. Over the next few years Moses went from strength to strength in his local area and beyond playing main stage at some of the biggest events and venues in his area such as TFI, Uprising, Doncaster Dome, the legendary Scunthorpe Baths Hall and Doncaster Warehouse. Around about the same time, inspired by the likes of Scott Brown, Sy & Unknown, Hixxy, Styles, Brisk, Ham, Mark Breeze, UFO and many more he decided to actively seek out a place to learn music production. Finally in 2006 he enrolled on a basic music production course at Higher Rhythm and acquired a full studio set up. Whilst on the course he also linked up with an old childhood friend Kevin Instinct and the two began working together on some early productions. Over the next few years Moses also began working with Terrence “Topflyte” O’Neil (aka SonicSound) and the two of them began exploring deeper into the UK Hardcore sound as well as helping each other develop their technical production skills. After a long period focusing on his career aspirations in his day job, Moses decided in 2014 to put more energy into his music. He immediately overhauled his studio and set about developing his skills towards the modern style of DJ’ing and production. Still under his Kronic alias Moses returned in 2015 with the “Life’s A B*tch” mixtape (named after the unreleased feature track “Kronic – Life’s A B*tch”). This was followed by the “Mucky Mixtape” and 5 volumes of his “DN4 Sessions” featuring MC Stafford, MC Thunda, MC Starscream and several members of the “Core Squad”. In between the mixtapes and Dj showcases Moses also released “Kronic – This Is Our Sound ft Mc Stafford”, “Otto Knows - Back Where I Belong (ft. Avicii) (Kronic Remix), “Feenixpawl & APEX – Quicksand (Kronic Remix) and *Kronic – The Snowman” which came number 1 in the 2016 “Hearthis Christmas Hardcore Charts”. In early 2017 Moses decided to leave the Dj name he chose when he was 12 (well before he even bought decks) and start afresh. Under his new alias “M3-O”, he had his first label release “V-Star – How Does It Feel (M3-O Remix)” on “Hush Records”. By the end of 2017 Moses had launched TiOS Digital and continues to release his own music along with other artists on the label.
