MC from London, United Kingdom. MC Riddla joined Kool FM in 1998, MCing alongside MC Shabba and DJ Funky Flity on the Super Sunday set. Before long he was booked at all the major D’n’B nights The turn of the Millenium saw a change in Riddla. Following a show in Denver Colorado with Darren Jay and MC Fearless, Riddla took the stage after Rap legend Doug E. Fresh. The magnitude of this performance compelled Riddla to start making records and step up his own levels and make new targets for himself. His new aim was to start writing Hip Hop. Whilst continuing to MC to D’n’B, he went in the studio with Darren Jay and started to record Hip-Hop. An E.P. was released in 2004, as a prelude to a full album release, but this didn’t sell as well as expected, so he shelved the plans and went back to the drawing board. His big break came when the Diesel Awards were looking at young unsigned musicians for their award show which was to be televised on Channel 4. They had stumbled across Riddla and his E.P, and he was nominated and won the U.K’s Best Unsigned Hip Hop Artist and it was this pivot in his career that made Riddla’s work ethic even stronger and go on to record over 50 tracks in a year. 2006 arrives and Riddla is constantly working on new material, appearing on a track with living legend Chuck D of Public enemy fame, and releasing an independent mixtape called Cyanezee. In 2008 a new Hip-Hop album "Race Against Time" was released and has seen Riddla appear on Kiss FM and support Busta Rhymes pushing his Hip Hop clout even further up the chart.
