This song was commissioned exclusively to the composer in 1989 by the dutch public broadcasting organization "VPRO Radio" regarding the event of the fall of the Berlin wall. It aired several weeks during prime-time (played from the master-tape) but was never released on any physical soundcarrier. The radio version contains samples of speeches by Dr. Helmut Kohl and John F. Kennedy (and others) recorded during the actual event.
