Comes in photocopied fold-out sleeve with the "Signum Recordings" name and logo stamped in red ink on the backside. The label artwork is handpainted on each side of the record together with the track title. There's no mentioning of A or B side. [liner-notes taken from the inside of the sleeve] "In february 1987 visitors of the "Mail Art Manifestation" at V2 Organisation Den Bosch (NL), were given a booklet containing a small piece of tape. People were asked to loop this tape, use it in a 2 minute recording and then return the result (on cassette) by mail. Regular mail that is, we're talking 1987. In july that year Midas Tapes released the recordings as the "Mail-Art Muzic Project" (taped#023). The two tracks featuring on this single where my contribution to the project but they never made it to the Midas Tapes release because they exceeded the maximum length. I had completely forgotten about them until late 2010 when i rediscovered these odd gemms while digitizing my archive of early work from the 80's. Tech stuff; both tracks where recorded in one take on a Tascam Porta One tape deck. You hear the tapeloop (noise) by DMDN running in the background on a reel-to-reel tape recorder while in the meantime i play the Korg MS10 and MS20 synths triggered by the SQ10 sequencer. I used the Ibanez DD700 digital delay for the vocals in combination with the hold pedal. To stay as close as possible to the original material, only small adjustments in volume and slight equalizing where applied during mastering. Think of this recording as a document from the gloomy eighties.
