As heirs of the soul-funk movement for years, Madison Street Family have set out to recreate the big sound of soul whilst also opening up to contemporary sounds. The band creates moments of trance under afrobeat rhythms, which emerge with a fine orchestration and an accuracy that is quite remarkable. The group, who formed in 2005, compose and play only their own original tracks and consist of 7 talented musicians and a powerful lead female vocalist. Since 2009, the Funk Soul Band has shared the stage with groups from the international funk scene such as: Lee Fields, Charles Walker, Breakestra, The Bamboos, DeepStreetSoul, Randa & The Soul Kingdom
