English Translation: The management and custody of the Sanctuary Madonna Della Civita in 1947 have been given, by Msgr. Dionigio Casaroli, Archbishop of Gaeta, the Congregation of the Servants of Charity founded by Blessed Luigi Guanella. The sanctuary, erected in 1491 in place of an existing chapel already before 1000 and dedicated to 'Immaculate Mother of God was reduced ormal, by so many vicissitudes, including the war in conditions. From 1947 to today, 25 years of zeal and work material, pastoral and spiritual Fathers Guanelliani has given a new face and efficient life in this famous center of Marian devotion that flow hundreds of thousands of pilgrims, especially from the prince of Latin, Frosinone, Rome, Caserta, Naples, to meet the Virgin Mary and, through her, Jesus.
