A.k.a. Frank Marheineke

Frank Marheineke started early as keyboardist in various school Punk and Alternative bands in the mid/late 80s where he first introduced his computer-controlled synthesizer, sequencer and beatmachines. In the 90s he joint forces with 2 friends to build a complete analog studio / production facility in the basement of a parking house, sharing all existent gear and investing in more equipment. Besides playing in and engineering this band, Mainframe and his partner Kabuki started producing electronic music such as house, breakbeat and drum'n'bass. At this time they founded the label Precision Breakbeat Research as a specialized release platform and enjoyed producing cutting edge club music under diverse aliases. While studying computer science in Frankfurt, he was working as a freelance mastering engineer at Toolhouse Studios and setting up multiple incarnations of the original Syncom Studio. Around 2000 he and Kabuki run a studio-suite with co-ops producing music and sound for computer games, ads and multimedia. After working as producer and engineer for many projects over the years he started his own studio when moving to Frankfurt's Northern-end, now home of the Mainframe Analog Mastering.
