BIO 2000: Mainstay was formed in october of 1998 and on the local scene almost immediately since. The first show was a halloween show and was a blast. All of the members clicked immediately. Eventually they became part of the elite southwest metal scene with bands such as Pelvic, Torque, Brik, Juice, Insolence, Prizefighter and Carcinogen among others. After recording their first demo in december of '98 the band was unsatisfied and went back into the studio september '99. This time, they recorded the 5 track EP "Under this Influence". The style consists of the best of metal, emo, hardcore, rapcore and funk. They are still developing a name and won't be stopped until it gets climactic.
