Malik Abdul Basit, or Malik B. as he is known to fans worldwide, is a hip-hop artist who was a member of The Roots from the early 1990s to their 2000-2001 tour. He has released one EP, entitled Psychological on emcee Haak Blast's publishing company "Future Blast Publishing". In addition to working on a follow up solo project, Malik B is a member of Beard Gang started by Jakk Frost, along with Freeway, Smif & Wessun, Reef the Lost Cause and TDB.
