Hiphop MC born in Tampa, Florida, Mami Montana was raised by her Guatemalan/Belizean mother and Jewish father. Her life took an abrupt turn when at the age of 12 her father was arrested and jailed on international drug trafficking charges. Only a few years later, her oldest brother Michael was murdered by the DEA when they raided his home in Orlando, FL. Relocating to Atlanta, GA, Mami Montana (aka Coca-Ina) got involved in the Georgia State college radio show "Rhythm & Vibes".
