A.k.a. Mamie Louise Davis Mamie Davis
Soul and blues singer. Born in Mississippi in 1940. During her long career she played with Herman Scott and the Swinging Kings, Ike & Tina Turner Revue, and Little Milton’s band. It was due to her stint with Little Milton that she moved to Chicago and subsequently signed with St. Lawrence Records in 1965. She died in 2001 back in Mississippi. Prior to her death, she had returned to her roots as a blues singer.
