Mamiko Asō (麻生真宮子, Asō Mamiko), born February 5, 1964 in Fukuoka, Japan. Businesswoman, former Japanese idol of the 80's, singer and actress, who made her debut in 1982. In 1984, she formed the group Asō Mamiko & Captain (麻生真美子&キャプテン, Asō Mamiko & Captain) with two dancers/backing singers, Kiyoko Kitazawa and Keiko Yamamoto, who previously accompanied the idol Iyo Matsumoto, and who would form the duo Be-2 after the group split up in 1987. Mamiko Asō then released two solo singles, and appeared in several television dramas. In the 90s, she released three Eurodance style singles in Italy, including Drive Me Crazy To Love in 1996, reaching #21 in the local charts. In 1998, she formed her own company, TAJIMA, producing among other things her own italian wine. From then onwards using the single name Mamiko, she released a final single, Your Lies, and a book about Italy in 2006, titled Torino.
