The story of Manna begins at the Music Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden in the early 90's. There, met 8 aspiring musician who began to explore the world of music together. A road that had a wider expression of the group's shared Christian faith and that led to exciting musical involvement in the common liturgical life. But Manna world and the audience is bigger than that. Manna is a band that moves effortlessly between musical styles and who are not afraid to improvise. From its inception in 1994 as the Manna music making was characterized by its own unique sound and with a total of four productions in the luggage it is easy to hear that the group is going from strength to strength. Manna has long had a soft spot for the author Tomas Sjödin texts. There is a musicality in the Sjödin language that the group wanted to explore and to date resulted in two albums made in collaboration with Sjödin. Manna musical form is never predictable. There is no musical cliches without a musical freedom that is deeply appealing. Manna slightly melancholy and trusting music and Sjödins hopeful everyday texts melt together in a wondrous device. Manna has participated in church services of various kinds, on television and radio and has given concerts in their own name.
