Producer of Dance
A.k.a. Manoel Vanni DJ Vanni
DJ Vanni (aka Manni) is one of Brazil's pioneer producers of electronic music. He started his DJ career back in 1985 producing an electronic music show for radios around São Paulo. After that Vanni set up his own recording studio and in 1996 joined forces with the renowned DJ Mau Mau, the studio geek Marcel SK and the great keyboardist Franco Jr. to create M4J, one of the first electronic music live acts from Brazil. Together they produced a mixture of House, Techno and Brazilian Rhythms which grabbed the attention of the ongoing techno scene in São Paulo and got them to release two full albums with both critic and public success. Some of M4J tracks were also featured by the best DJ’s at the time including Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Green Velvet, Derrick May among others. Vanni played at all the best clubs and festivals in Brazil and toured Europe several times, bringing his live experience to Paris, London, Rome, Miami, Turkey, Barcelona and so on. After M4J stopped working together, Vanni kept producing his own tracks under diverse monikers, the last one being Manni, with which he has been releasing strong singles for some conceptual international labels like Baroque, Fatali, Scandalo Music and Kubic. Manni also plays regularly at the best parties in São Paulo, including the renowned clubs D-Edge, Lab Club, Trackers, Lions and Hot Hot.
