A.k.a. Martijn Lernouldt
At the tender age of 14 Manone was exposed to the Techno bug by listening to Radio Galaxie, a french radio station broadcasting quality Techno in the Lille and Kortrijk region and influencing a bunch of enthousiasts on both sides of the border. Three years later he started off DJ’ing at a local radio station with his friend Norman Bates (now Svemirski, Coincidence Records). The show pretty much excelled in mayhem and brought very heavy Techno sounds on a mainstream channel. Manone soon kissed the radio goodbye to pursue his own specific and addictive sound. Influenced by the selection at Cyclone – a legendary record shop in Mouscron – he evolved his hard, bleepy variation of Techno music. In 2003 he joined Belgium’s Hardtechno powerhouse Footworxx and saw it grow into the immensely popular events they still are today. He remained a regular fixture there until 2006 after which he decided to seek out new paths. He decided to turn his career back a notch in 2008 but recently has been returning to the decks and still manages to excite crowds with his vinyl and live sets.
