A.k.a. María Teresa Villone
She was born in the neighborhood of Caballito (Buenos Aires, Argentina) on December 20, 1918. She started singing at an early age performing in school parties. Already established as a singer in the mid-30s she was associated with famous Paraguayan artists like Demetrio Ortiz and Felix Perez Cardozo with whom she began a prolific artistic and authorial relationship, integrating as a singer the orchestra of Perez Cardozo. An inspired and prolific composer of works like "Allá en mi Litoral", "Amor que vuelve", "Añoranza", "Canción de ausencia", "Paraguay te amo" and her immortal work, "Mis Noches Sin Ti" composed with the Demetrio Ortiz. Retired from the stage, Marquez Maria Teresa died on October 19, 2000 in Brazil where she was based.
