Marcel van Limbeek

Marcel van Limbeek started his career in 1987 as a live engineer for Dutch punk rock band Tröckener Kecks. In 1991, he moved to London to tour with Johnny Cash, Nanci Griffith, The Temptations, Big Country, The Beautiful South, Terrorvision and Tori Amos. In 1995, after completing a year-long world tour as monitor engineer for Tori Amos, Marcel was asked to engineer and mix Tori's album "Boys for Pele". It was the start of a long ongoing partnership with Tori and her engineer/husband Mark Hawley. In 1997, Marcel designed Martian Engineering, Amos' and Hawley's recording studio in Cornwall, where he and Mark engineered and mixed all of Tori's subsequent albums and projects. In between the making of Tori’s records, Marcel has continued to work as her monitor engineer. In 1999, he was awarded "Monitor Engineer of the Year" by Live! Magazine
