Marcia Johnson was born and raised in London and has always enjoyed music and acting. At 18 years old she started modeling just after finishing school and soon joined a theater group performing in London's West End. Marcia developed her vocal talents, began writing songs and toured the UK with “Deep Joy” as resident backing vocalist when then she met Gerard Langella. Her first single “Got To Be Special” was released in France and The Netherlands where it charted thanks to the support of French label Airplay Records. Her fourth single “Don’t Try It” signed by David Jurman of Columbia Records and released in the USA, charted at N°1 in the Billboard National Dance chart for 3 consecutive weeks in October 1998 and N°3 in the Maxi-single US sales chart.
