A.k.a. Marcel van Basten
Former Dutch International football player and manager, born October 31, 1964 in Utrecht, Netherlands. He played for AFC Ajax and AC Milan, as well as for the Dutch national team. As a manager he has lead Jong Ajax, the Dutch national team, Ajax and SC Heerenveen. He was a three time European Footballer of the Year winner (1988, 1989 and 1992), and FIFA World Player of the Year winner (1992) as well. With Ajax he won the Dutch league title three times (1981–82, 1982–83, 1984–85), the Dutch Cup three times (1982–83, 1985–86, 1986–87), and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup (1986-87). While with AC Milan he won the Italian league title four times (1987–88, 1991–92, 1992–93, 1993–94), the Italian Super Cup four times (1988, 1992, 1993, 1994), the European Cup three times (1989, 1990, 1994), the European Super Cup three times (1989, 1990, 1994), and the Intercontinental Cup twice (1989, 1990) Marco van Basten was also a member of the Dutch national team that won the UEFA European Championship in 1988, and he is widely regarded as one of the most skilled, and decorated football players of all time.
