A.k.a. Jorge David Monsalve Velásquez Jorge Monsalve
Colombian-born singer, musician and composer. He was born on December 8th, 1919 in Liborina, Antioquia, Colombia and died in Buenos Aires, Argentina on December 10th, 1986. He began his working life in the city of Medellin selling newspapers after leaving his hometown in search of a better future. His interest in singing, music and art led him to Bogotá, where he joined an opera company. In the 1940s, he left for Buenos Aires where he married Olga Cagnolly and made his musical career, living the rest of his life in the Argentine capital. He was commonly known under the pseudonym "Marfil". Created different groups, like Los Caucanos y Los Marfiles
