Singer / Composer of Classical
Anna Margareta Melin, born July 23, 1935 in Stockholm, is a Swedish writer, psalmist, especially of hymns for children. She has, among other things, released the vocal collection Kärnord with short minded words, written by many different composers. Otherwise, her lyrics have often been written by Lars Åke Lundberg. Melin was born in Stockholm in 1935 as daughter of Professor Gustav Giertz and Ulla Koraen and grew up in medical homes at Karolinska Hospital in Solna. She studied theology in Uppsala 1955-1960. She has been active as retreat leader, lecturer and mentor. A major part of the business has been assigned to Wettershus outside Jönköping, where she was a member of the Board for 25 years. Her books reflect different periods of life. They are all a consequence of the existential issues that have become relevant in meeting and dialogue with other people's living conditions and imagination worlds.
