Tejano singer from the Rio Grande Valley in Texas who is a niece of Freddy Fender. At 15 she joined a mariachi group and spent seven years as the lead vocalist. After being discovered, by EMI Latin, Margarita has gone on to make a career out of her singing by opening for Grupo Mazz and recording several albums.
