(Born August 9, 1906 in Hohenlimburg as Maria Vormann - d. 16 May 1984 in Munich) She originally wanted to be an actress, then met her future husband Victor Schamoni (1901-42), the film director. Their connection to the film was preserved throughout their lives, since the sons Peter, Victor Schamoni jun., Thomas Schamoni and Ulrich Schamoni were also in the business.
