A.k.a. Marie Elisabet Ledin (née Anderson)
Swedish record company owner and publisher, born 9 February 1957 in Stockholm, Sweden. She is the daughter of Stig Anderson, ABBA manager and founder of Polar. Her brother is songwriter/producer Lasse Anderson. She worked at her father's Polar Music International AB up to 1986, when she founded her own record company The Record Station, which was soon bought by Bertelsmann/BMG. She continued to work for The Record Station until she founded Anderson Records in 1996. The new company was named in honor of her father. Anderson Records also went into book publishing by forming a book publishing division named Anderson Pocket. Marie Ledin has ever since the start in 1989 been active with the Polar Music Prize, the Swedish international award founded by her father to award "significant achievements in music". After her father's passing away in 1997 she's been in charge of the foundation. Marie Ledin has been married to the Swedish musician Tomas Ledin since 1983.
