After a brief career in music with the release of the bubblegum dance track "Round & Round" under the stage name Chloé, Marilyn went on to study sociology at Karlstads University and wrote a thesis "Grasping Reality and Understanding Behaviour A study of how to understand emotional behaviour based on a sociological definition of reality." Marilyn has worked with international politics in Europe and Africa and is now working as a diplomat on the European External Action Service in Brussels (2014). After studying political science and sociology at Karlstad University Marilyn followed international political work in countries such as Zambia, Ethiopia, Ukraine and the Netherlands. She has also joined the Swedish Foreign Ministry's diplomatic programs. She now works at the European External Action Service in Brussels (EEAS) as advisor to the Deputy Secretary General Helga Schmid. On October 3, 2014, Marilyn received the Karlstad University's award for Alumni of the Year, along with Uddeholm CEO Johnny Sjöström.
