Italian born cumbia composer, band leader and organist He was born in Brugnera, Italy,1932 and died July 21, 1974 in San Cristobal, Venezuela. He moved to Venezuela in 1954 where he first started to play accordion. Soon he also started to play organ in church. He formed his first band in 1961, later known as Mario Y Sus Diamantes. His most known composition is "El Cable", which got played and distributed all over South America.
