Italian illustrator and graphic designer (Milan 1948-1986), Mario Convertino worked in the music industry since the second half of 60s, creating several covers for 7" records. During the 70's, focusing on album covers, he introduced a new art style, not giving up yet at the more traditional style. In these years he also collaborated with London Hipgnosis (2), famous for the covers designed for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Genesis, Wings. His Studio Convertino was among the firsts in Italy to experiment in the field of videographic, in 1981 he was the art director and designer for the TV music show Mr. Fantasy by Paolo Giaccio, conducted by Carlo Massarini and Mario Luzzatto Fegiz.
