Mario Caspar was born in Edenkoben, Germany, but grew up in Geneva and Zurich, Switzerland. At the age of 14 he decided to become a professional drummer and took lessons with Dave Grob and two years later with Leonardo Irmici. During that time he had his first gig experience when he toured with different top 40 bands. When Mario was 25 years old, he moved to the USA to study in different music schools. He visited first the "Percussion Institute of Technologie" and afterwards the "Grove School of Music" in L.A. At the end of 1991, Mario returned to Switzerland to share his talents and gifts with the younger generation in Switzerland. He is a very active live and studio drummer with an immense treasure of experience and is teaching at different music schools in Zurich.
