Born on September 26, 1958. Mark Matteo earned a Bachelor's degree in music from the Dana School of Music with a major in Guitar, and a minor in Music Theory. Then he started out as the new lead singer and lead guitarist of the Pittsburgh R&B/Dance Cover band, Gigolo back in 1984 after former lead singer and guitarist Sputzy Sparacino left to join Modern Man. Then in 1988, Mark left Gigolo and then started playing with Sputzy as the new lead guitarist of Modern Man after Buddy Hall had left. They played together in Modern Man from 1988 till 1991. Then both Sputzy and Mark went their separate ways. Sputzy went on to play with his new band in 1991 at the time, Sputzy & The Soul Providers. While Mark went on to perform several national acts with Famers Little Anthony And The Imperials, Gary U.S. Bonds, Peter Noone, Bo Diddley, The Platters, The Soul Providers, N Sync, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Aaron Carter, and then finally in 2001, he went on to play with his band he had formed, No Bad Ju Ju. Where he now has taken full leadership. Mark has also written, performed and produced several radio/TV jingles, and industrial videos. Credits include 84 Lumber, Giant Eagle, The Pittsburgh Pirates, and Iron City Beer.
