An English vocalist, lyricist and writer, Martin Walkyier is well known for his contributions to UK Thrash bands Sabbat (1985-1990, 2006- ) and the more folk-influenced Skyclad (1990-2001). His lyrics are punctuated by intelligent use of puns and double-meaning, whilst his vocal work with Sabbat can be considered a prototypical example of vocal delivery currently found in modern Black Metal. Despite stating that he had retired from actively making music, Walkyier is currently involved with his own project; The Clan Destined.
