Born on January 22, 1899 in Temmes, Finland. A Finnish poet and folklorist. He released his poems under the alias P. Mustapää. Typical for Haavio's poems is irony and relativism. He married a fellow poet Aale Tynni in 1960, this was his second marriage. His first wife Elsa Enäjärvi died of cancer in 1951. Died on February 4, 1973 in Helsinki, Finland.
