Marvin Schlachter

Music industry veteran, president, and label head who was once A&R vice president at Scepter Records and Wand in their successful Dionne Warwick/BJ Thomas period. He was the president of Janus Records and helmed the US divison of Pye International. After which he launched and was the original owner of Prelude Records started in 1976 after PYE decided to close its US operations . Schlacter was also connected to Micmac Records, Inc. and Chess. His son is Scott Schlachter.
