Composer of Classical
American born composer/writer/poet, resident of Australia since 1974. Earned a BMus. from DePaul University, where she studied with Leon Stein, and a MMus. in Composition from the University of Michigan, where she studied composition with Ross Lee Finney. She also studied under fellowship with George Crumb. Her catalog includes works for symphony orchestra, chorus, ballet and the theatre. She is the recipient of numerous awards, prizes, and commissions. She is also an accomplished nature photographer, writer of historical fiction, and a poet specializing in Japanese verse forms such as haiku.
