MATHIEU FISET - COMPOSER / PRODUCER / MUSICAL DIRECTOR / KEYBOARDIST / DRUMMER Mathieu Fiset, born on April 13th of 1989 in Quebec City, Canada, is an highly creative and versatile musician and producer. Mathieu started playing as early as 3 years old on his father's keyboard, playing the music of his favorite movies by hear which obviously gained the attention of his parents (both classical musicians) who made him take classical piano lessons from the age of 9. It's during his high school years that Mathieu started taking music more seriously and decided to become professional after being introduced to metal music and attending various live shows. Starting his music career as a keyboardist at the age of 16 playing with progressive metal bands in Quebec City, he quickly gained the attention and respect of the local musician community, establishing himself as one of the best keyboardists in town. While getting into different styles of music, Mathieu expanded his abilities and started playing with different kinds of artists, bringing new influences to his own personal music. He also started playing the drums and did quite a few studio and live performances as drummer in Canada and Asia. Since his recording debut in 2007, Mathieu produced 7 solo albums, 6 with other artists and recorded keyboards and drums on several other albums as session musician or band member. Mathieu played over a thousand live shows since 2006, in hundreds of cities around 7 different countries. He played with several different bands and musicians in any styles as well as bringing his own compositions to the stage as solo artist or with his own band. Lately he has been touring in Asia as keyboardist and musical director of a Canadian party band since 2011 while still writing and recording new material during the day. 2013 saw the release of Mathieu Fiset's 7th solo album, Qi Dai, which was released worldwide by Candyrat Records (Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, Don Ross). The album was written and recorded in China and was released there first, followed by a tour of many Chinese cities and some dates in Canada and the UAE. In 2014, Mathieu is now based in Jakarta, Indonesia, finishing the recording of his 8th solo album which will be a follow up to his RoboJazz album (2012), taking an even more electronic/dance approach and featuring some guest vocalists.
