A.k.a. Mette Mathilde Bondo
Artist name of Danish violinist, vocalist Mette Mathilde Bondo, best known as part of the husband/wife folk duo Lasse & Mathilde. Reputedly she met with Tom Waits in Copenhagen in 1976 and became the object of Waits's "Tom Traubert's Blues (Four Sheets To The Wind In Copenhagen)" w. the refrain "Waltzing Mathilda" adapted from the Australian traditional. She's also referred to as "Lange Lone" in the Kim Larsen song "Østre Gasværk".
