Sounds: A1: 30.000 broiler chickens at 21 days old; 24.000 one minute old chicks; 40 free range hens; 1 chicken being killed for market; half a dozen eggs and a glass bowl. A2: The sewers beneath Fleet Street, London. A3: Various branded and bottled waters. B1: Celebrity-endorsed junk food. B2: 3255 people eating an apple. These are combined recordings made in Barcelona, London, Paris, Istanbul, Melbourne and Montreal plus 65 people individually crunching an apple on UK Apple Day. B3: One granule of silver spoon beet sugar being altered in state by Heston Blumenthal, Jocky and Matthew Herbert at the Fat Duck, Bray. Musicians: A1: Leo Taylor plays a half a dozen eggs, egg cups, a whisk, a glass bowl and some egg boxes. Phil Parnell, Dave O'Higgins, Pete Wraight and Matthew Herbert play a sample of an egg on a glass bowl. A3: Leo Taylor plays a kit made only of water bottles. Phil Parnell, Dave O'Higgins, Pete Wraight and Matthew Herbert play a sample of blowing over the top of a San Pellegrino bottle. B1: Leo Taylor plays a Frosties kik drum, a 'Blue' endorded cake, various cans of pasta shapes, a Premier League confectionary selections and a Beyoncé endorsed Pepsi bottle. Phil Parnell, Dave O'Higgins, Pete Wraight and Matthew Herbert play a sample of blowing over the top of a small Pepsi bottle. Dani Siciliano sings.
