Matthew J. Thomson


Matthew J. Thomson is a musician and sound engineer from St-John's, Newfoundland. Former member of now defunct Montreal outfit Open Fields, and currently one half of Land of the Lakes, he also played bass on EP's Ashland, which he recorded and mixed. As of 2016, he owns and operates Insert Name Here, a project studio, out of St-John's, Newfoundland. From Insert Name Here's about page: "In addition to writing, engineering and producing multiple albums from his project studio, Matthew has co-written and engineered a Genie Award nominated song (Tender Steps from Crackie), produced an Atlantis Award-nominated album (Cherie Pyne's La Marée Noire), and has worked as an assistant in the music and foley studio at the National Film Board of Canada in Montreal, Quebec."
